ARTICLE 102
Accredited Assessment Bodies
Article 102 of the Statute permits IRBAI to accredit external assessment bodies to perform defined conformity assessment tasks under its supervision. This register records each accreditation: the body, the country in which it is established, the scope of the accreditation and its period of validity.
Only work performed within a body’s recorded scope, during the validity of its accreditation, has the standing of assessment by an accredited body. Assessment reports issued by bodies that do not appear in this register have no standing under the Statute.
STATUS
Suspension and Withdrawal
Accreditation is suspended or withdrawn where supervision finds that the conditions of Article 102 are no longer met. The entry records the change of status and its date. Work performed before the change retains the standing it had when it was performed.
Organizations seeking accreditation should consult the requirements and the application route under becoming an assessment body.
Consult the Register
Entries are published once the underlying decision has become final or is immediately effective. Requests for the correction of an entry may be submitted through the contact page; a request does not suspend the entry.
